When I boot up my Windows XP computer, it displays a "NTLDR is missing press CTRL+ATL+DEL to restart computer" . What happened was I was trying to fresh install Windows XP, and I Deleted the current partition, and when I went to go install then new partion, it finished. When it finished, it rebooted, and displayed this message, I really need help, no clue on what to do.

I don't know so I will guess.

You need to boot from the OS install disc then delete all partitions including the hidden one then you shut down the PC for a minute or so (this will ensure the partitions are actually deleted. Next you boot up to your OS install disk then format and install OS.

If you don't delete the hidden partition as advised, the previous install may assume a refresher install and not change the platform from 32 bit to NTFS if you have changed from one to another. Also, previous problems could occur.

When the install is finished, you reboot and go to BIOS and change the boot order back to the Primary hdd Save and Exit and continue to desktop.

NTLDR referrs to the OS system loader which loads Windows.

I changed the boot to the disk drive, and inserted the disk, the error still continues.

Insert the Windows XP bootable CD into the computer.
When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press any key.
Once in the Windows XP setup menu press the "R" key to repair Windows.
Log into your Windows installation by pressing the "1" key and pressing enter.
You will then be prompted for your administrator password, enter that password.
Copy the below two files to the root directory of the primary hard drive. In the below example we are copying these files from the CD-ROM drive letter, which in this case is "e." This letter may be different on your computer.

copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\
copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\
Once both of these files have been successfully copied, remove the CD from the computer and reboot.

Now this should solve your query.
