NTLDR is missing

Specs: Linux i686)
XP - NTLDR missing press ctrl+alt+del . When I do this nothing happens. I have 2 XP system discs and the same thing happens with both.

Did you google "NTLDR is missing" or enter that term in the search box at the top of this page? It's a very common problem that has been dealt with numerous times before.

Thanks for your response. I googled it. The problem occurred when trying to install XP from a system CD onto a computer with no operating system installed. Any \help would be welcome.

The problem is sounds like that the computer is still going to boot off of the hard drive. Did you reformat the hard drive or is it a brand new one with no data on it or something?
