Not able to access my computer account

December 14, 2010 at 17:52:45
Specs: Windows XP
So I left my computer on when I went to work, and when I got home it was off. I turned it on, logged into my account (it's Windows XP) and it said something about not being able to locate my profile or something or other or, not enough space, I really don't know what it was talking about. But everything is gone, it went back to default settings and desktop, all the songs in my iTunes are completely deleted but the program is still there. It's weird, all the programs I installed are still there but all the pictures are gone, the music is gone. The account still has my name though and the picture I had set beside it. Is there anything I can do to get all that back? The message seemed like everything was still there somehow but the computer just couldn't open it. Please help :(

I guess, your files are not lost.
I guess, you got a new profile folder, something like yourname.000.
But your files are stored in the folder yourname.
So doubleclick My Computer and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents and search for your files.

Well that didn't work, there was a folder that said "TEMP.385739857" and it had nothing in it, as if my account had become a Guest account or something. So i turned off my computer and re-started it so that I could write down the message that was popping up when i logged in so you guys could actually see what it was telling me, and boom everything is fine again.. still weird though. There is only one account on my computer and its obviously mine, and when i logged in it was like logging into a Guest account. Even though my picture and name was on the login menu.

Either way thanks for the help :)
