No video using Belkin 2-Port KVM switch

Specs: Windows XP
i recently was installing a belkin kvm 2 port switch and everytime i noticed that it wasnt switching to the other computer. i ckd the moniter and tested the computer at another location ,same display.moniter shows ,monitor is working ck cables,etc.the hard drive sounds like it clicks briefly then thats it for internal sounds?

That is one of the most confusing posts I've ever read.

Did you put the switch on another computer?

If so, the KVM switch is bad.

sorry if i was misleading,but my main problem is that now the computer which worked prior to hooking the the kvm now no longer boots up only states that monitor is working ck cables i said there is alittle internal noise such as hard drive clicking but then nothing.i guess im just trying to figure out where to start.i did try another video card and did try another hard drive,too no avail?thanks steve

the kvm switch has been disconnected.i am trying the unit with another monitor.unable to get any display still with only a couple coughs from the hard drive
