Specs: Windows XP, 1.5 / 1.5
I tried some of the things that were suggested, but the files that were mentioned don't exist on my computer sysy or ddm, did several searches but didn't come up with anything ran a reg edit program and nothing, tried the tweak it program and rebooted, i still don't have any icons or task bar. It has come back several times only to dissapear again. I tried the task master and was able to get into a few things but not explorer, was told didn't have permission to open, what do you suggest?

The icons and the task bar may be two different unrelated items. First move your cursor slowly down to the bottom of your screen. Does the taskbar appear when doing that? If so, you need to right click on the start button and select properties> taskbar. Untick "hide the taskbar.

Next, When at the desktop right click on an empty space and then highlight "arrange icons by" then left click the show icons text.

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion, I did a debug to get back to the desktop, all others didn't work for me and I checked what you suggested and they were both marked as suggested, there must be something else going on, I will check it again later, I shut it down, and will get back to it later, will reboot and see if the icons still come up on the desktop, when one came back so did the other...Thanks
