No boot device/ Activation

January 2, 2012 at 09:21:22
Specs: Windows XP, 512mb
I needed ram, so my brother claimed to have had some.
He tried to install it on my computer, but it reverted to the new state, and it's saying the administrator needs to register the computer when I already did register it.
I try doing it by internet, but it wont connect unregistered out of safemode, and I dont think calling a representative to activate will work.

It says no boot device even when I changed the order of boot back to normal.

He claims the internal battery ran out, but I don't believe it.

He got the registry key from his highschool course, and he didn't approve of doing it.
This computer was originally a Windows xp Home, but It's a windows xp professional.
So...

Edit: Not to mention i cant even get past the black screen since theres no boot device available

I would try to find why you can't boot. Try a live CD or usb device or a new hard drive.
