New partition option unable for unallocated disk

Specs: Windows XP
I am trying to format the remaining unformat disk in my basic disk. There are partition C:,E: and G: which are already formatted. There is remaining unallocated disk on the basic disk. The unallocated disk first is need to be partition then only format. But the problem is when I right click on the unallocated disk the new partition option is disable. Why and is there other option. My OS is window XP. Thank You.

A hard disk can only have four primary partition. The fourth is probably take up by the system recovery partition so you cannot make any more,

To use this unallocated space you can either extend the G partition into the unallocated space or you can delete the G and create and extended partition. You can then have as many logical drive within the extended partition as space will allow.
