Netlogon Service ?

Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 2.793 GHz / 3070 MB
In my event viewer I have a red icon under a netlogon error ? This is what the event viewer says reguarding the netlogon service and my ? is should I disable the service or reconfigure my PC as a domian ? Here is how the event veiwer worded the problem > Event Type: Error
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 3095
Date: 9/9/2010
Time: 5:45:16 AM
User: N/A
Computer:
This computer is configured as a member of a workgroup, not as a member of a domain. The Netlogon service does not need to run in this configuration.

Anyone familar with this service and the best way to configure my PC as of now I have disabled the NetLogon Service !

I believe the default startup setting for this service is "Manual". Disabling the service should cause no problems if the computer is not a member of a domain. The previous setting was probably "Automatic" which will cause this problem.

I went ahead and set it to manual ! Since its the recomended setting for this service .
