Need Help writting commands in Notepad 5.1

Specs: Microsoft xp
Hi I am having some problems writting commands in my notepad and getting it to work when saved, it has decided to not want to work for me anymore, here is the exact problem if I type in a batch script and save it with the exact commands like I always have been able to in the past then save it for some reason it wont work. I save it as either Text Documents or even All Files etc...with the same Encoding ANSI as always but when saved these ways its not opening up and working, there is one thing I noticed the font changed so I googled it and found the default was Lucida Console with font style Regular and also size 10, one last thing for some reason when I say go to send Files Of Types it has this in the box *.* I wonder is this might be the problem and needs changing somewhere on my computer, any help would be great ....

Try saving the file as "filename.bat" with the quotaiton marks so that it will save it as a .bat file instead if a text (.txt) file.

I tried that but no joy :( heres what im doing simply writting .bat and .vbs batch scripts on notepad 5.1 for pranks on my friendsI send them by skype or msn all harmeless fun, I just created a popup .vbs really basic one and it worked fine and this was done by just saving the File Name as test.vbs, Save as type Text Documents, and the Encoding as ANSI, this one worked but for some reason any big scripts wont work anymore. :(

You need to start your own thread here for best help results.

That said you can try using testdisk on the card. Be sure to read the tutorials thoroughly before attempting to use. Get testdisk at the link below.
