Specs: Windows XP, 4000+ / 2gb DDR
I had some problems with my other computer which I just built, with it shutting down due to bad thermal contact then I found this Batch file in my startup folder does anyone know what this is for and if it's Malware?

Batch file is called Shredder

rmdir "C:\Program Files\PeAncYxJ"
rmdir "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Avira\PeAncYxJ"
rmdir "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PeAncYxJ"
del /Q /F "%0"

Batch files tend to be more safe than a virus. Some way would need to exist to run this shredder.bat file like autorun or registry or startup.

Why it is there I can't say. Looks like an original file to clean up from some install of an antivirus.

Keep a good security suite on your computer at all times and keep it up to date.

Use a limited user account at all times instead of an admin user account.
