My whole system crashed

Specs: Windows XP
System turns on but won't start up. It states

" A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer"

"If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If it appears again. follow thses steps:"

"Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disc defrag or back up untilities. Check hard drive config, and check for any updated drivers. Run chkdsk /f to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

Technical information:

I can't start it up to do what it requests.

This is known as the blue screen of death.. anyone who has over a year of IT experience would be able to tell you this.

This relates back to a previous post I replied to.. basically what this is saying is your operating system (Windows XP) is done. If that error just came out of nowhere with no hardware/software changes then your OS is finished.

However, what I recommend is to hop on newegg.com and purchase a new hard drive and operating system. From there, you can get your files back in a process called slaving.

My system crashed yesterday and all my files on the drive went missing as well.This made me kind of sick because it was the second time my hard drive is crashing.Well on the other hand,i was so lucky because i had backed up all my files onto my account online with Safecopy backup.So i did not lose much.
