"i have the same problem as above". Above what and where?

Do the keyboard or mouse work in Safe Mode (tap F8 while booting
and select it from the list)? If so do a system restore.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

What is an upper filter?

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Hi!........not the keyboard nor mouse could work in even safe mode but I managed to format the harddisk after using EBCD PRO (BOOTDISK) and stored all the files i wanted to the flashdisk and formatted the laptop and installed windows afresh.

Note: New problem...........all the files I stored in the flash are not present........the folders are showing empty! how do i get the files back? is't a virus ? a worm or yes ......what do I do and how do I get the files back?

I will be glad if you help me!

Not sure how that happened. About the only thing I can suggest is using this program on the Flash drive:
http://www.piriform.com/recuva

There is a chance you might be able to retrieve some off the normal hard disk with this program too but the more you've done since the worse it gets (the hidden traces get overwritten).

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
