My sound is messed up and i can't retore...

Specs: Windows XP
the sound on my system keeps messing up, almost like a skipping CD, though i dont have a disk drive, it does this with any sound and if i dont stop the sound by stopping the program or turning down the volume, my computer will blue screen. Before when it would do this, i could system restore and it would be ok for a bit, then it would do it again. But for some reason now, i dont have any restore dates. And after the sound messes up, then the computer takes twice as long to load when i turn it on....anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes for it to turn on, and start-up, anyone know what to do? i sent it to the acer center to have it fixed, and it didn't seem like it helped, because it did the same thing less than a week from when i had it returned. I have an Acer aspire one netbook.

Find out who the manufacture of the Sound Card is in your computer. Go to their web site and down load the latest drivers.

The only thing i can say is buy a new Sound Card and, if that does'nt work then the speaker is probably busted from putting sound over the limit you could tell when sound is over the limit because you will hear it start crackling

"I have an Acer aspire one netbook"

It might be hard to buy a new sound card. I think your best bet is to find out what sound card you already have and download the latest drivers.
