My computer needed to restart for a McAfee update and ever since then my screen resolution is all messed up. I tried to fix it with the control panel, display option but that didn't do the trick. On my desktop I have to scroll up if I want to see all my icons and scroll down if I want to see the task bar. I have to scroll over if I want to see the end of the task bar. How do I fix this??
Jessica, try doing a system restore to a time before the update. When your McAfee expires, I would recommend you use Microsoft Security Essentials instead. It's free and works pretty well. You can always remove McAfee and use it now if you choose.
Jessica578, It may be your Zoom setting if you're using IE7 or IE8. Open Internet Explorer, click View, select Zoom and set it to 100% which is the default setting.

I did do a system restore to before the update and still a giant desktop! I am not using IE at all. This isn't just an IE browser issue! My whole desktop is extra large. I have to move the mouse up and down to see all my icons on the desktop.Same with my task bar.. I have to move the mouse left and right if I want to see the whole thing.
It seems your video driver is corrupt, why, I don't know. Go into device manager and see if you have any yellow caution marks behind any hardware. If you need to find the drivers, post the make and model # of your machine.
