My other computer has 6.90GB on C drive and 142GB on D drive

Specs: Windows Vista
C drive has capacity 6.90GB, D drive has capacity of 142GB. I need to know how I can switch the drives. I got this computer from a friend and they don't know how this happened. So is it possible to switch them? My C drive has only 434MB free. Please help!

What OS does the other PC have? (assuming that the OS you reported is on your computer). Please check in which drive the OS is actually installed and post back.

Shrink D & expand C. You can either do it using Disk Management or you can use a free program called EaseUS Partition Master.

It is best if you backup everything on d:. Then delete that partition and using a product like Partition Magic or Easus expand c: to then occupy the entire disk. Then restore your information.

This method has the least risk of data loss.
