If you mean that your hard drive has failed, then are you absolutely sure the HD is the culprit, or is this just an assumption?
All things are possible be it is very rare to be able to see files at all when an HD has failed, and if you can see then they will usually open.
If it is only QuickBooks files that are the issue then it is most unlikely to be an HD issue. Consider re-installing the QuickBooks program.
