My daughter doubled loaded xp now frozen half

Specs: Windows 7
My daughter thoughtlessly reinstalled xp system cd. she thought she was installing "office" Now her computer starts up and tries to load the program over existing operating system. It gets about 5 minutes into this and freezes. She can't stop the reloading nor can she use and commands. please help. she is in Hawaii and I am on the mainland....thank you sharehawaii

Depends. If you want to save data then you may have to boot to some live cd and see if you can access any of the old data.

Normally you can't easily load xp twice. It may be that it was loaded on a secondary partition or recovery partition.

She needs to get a live linux cd and run it until someone can help out.

If no data is needed then simply reload xp and apps.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

Here is a complete listing of available and downloadable CDs. Also most newsagents/booksellers sell Linux computer magazines and most of them have a free cover-disk that usually contains a live CD. Saves downloading!

She doesn't sound extremely computer savy so downloading, burning, & using a Linux Live CD may be more than she can handle. Rather than going thru all that, just have her do a "repair installation" of XP. Here are the instructions:
