have you tried cntr-alt-del? or are you talking about a factory restore? If it is a factory restore, sometimes it depends on the computer. with xp often you hold r on reboot.

Yes… But people are not always here just when you post your message…

We need some more information…

What make and model computer do you have? Did you receive any disks with it (CD/DVD)?

Can you boot it up OK at present - even if it doesn't work as you'd like it to?

What is wrong with it at present?

Have you copied (saved) any personal (all those important) files you wouldn't like to lose - when you reset/restore it to as delivered to you way back when? If not… perhaps do so first… Copy them to external media - typically DVD. Verify (check) those copies can be read (accessed) both on the system that made them - and if possible on at least one other… Keep them safe...

When you reset/restore a system it will erase/wipe all your personal files… Which is why copy/save them off the system completely before doing any kind of reset/restore...

Are you perhaps referring to a reboot aka the restarting your computer? Or are you referring to a system restore or reinstalling Windows?

Those are all different things and it is unclear what you mean by reset it.

You are a bit hopeful expecting a response in less than one minute. Posts are opened when helpers happen to come along. It is free help from folk in various locations, in their free time. It can sometimes take hours (or even days) before someone comes along who feels they can help with a specific problem.

Right now it is over 3 hours since we heard from you.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

"normally have to press F10 OR F12 to rest it but it's not letting me"

Is this something you do often? Completely restoring the OS should be the very last thing you try, not the 1st. If you reinstall every time there's a problem, that doesn't say much for your troubleshooting skills.
