Specs: Windows XP, pentium 4 2.26 pros
My bios is not saving settings after restarting it loses all the settings also date and time and shows that CPU has been changed or CPU ratio has been changed please help me what should i do?

do one thing, reset the BIOS with factory settings.... refer to your motherboard's user manual and locate CLR CMOS jumper... try resetting it... here is a tutorial i have written in my blog about BIOS resetting.... Read it and you will understand better... put a comment on that page if you have any doubts....

Almost certainly a dud CMOS battery. Once the battery has been replaced, then you can do the resetting bit detailed in post one. Doing it with a dud battery with achieve nothing.

You will then need to go into the BIOS and reset settings, especially time and date and any other setting applicable to your motherboard an CPU, not forgetting to save them
