Using any Windows XP BootCD

Start your computer from the Windows XP Setup CD
Select the first R prompt to go into the Recovery Console
Press "1" to log in as Administrator
Then press Enter key

On the command line type: chkdsk /r
And then press the Enter key
Allow CheckDisk to finish Checking and hopefully Repairing the system

Then type EXIT, and restart your computer (also remove the XP CD)

Try that :)
