Hi I want to get the msconfig thing right and i have unchecked things i know what they are and that don't need to be in the systray but there are some i am not sure about like tp4mon, VTTimer, RunDll32 cmicnfg, NvCpl, nwiz. I have googled them but i am really not sure what they are after reading about them.

rapattack, there're some 'must haves' in your startup menu listed @:

but nothing in the systray that I'm aware of is mandatory. Fill it with what you like.

Oh ok that is what i wanted to know! Will do that then as the bootup time is definately affected by all that stuff. Does it take out the sound/speaker icon though? Would want that to stay there as i do a fair bit of audio stuff!

My speaker icon, wireless icon, and power icon still show up on my laptop. Apparently they are loaded by something other than msconfig.
