Monitor brightness?

Specs: Windows XP, 2Gb
I have a Samsung 226BW but the control panel on it doesn't allow me to adjust the brightness. It just says NOT AVAILABLE. i can't seem to do this in the Nvidia control panel either. Any ideas?

I found this at NewEgg you might look into it for a resolution to your problem....

Cons: Slight back light bleed at the top of the monitor. Being that I have a 'C' panel, the monitor wasn't correctly calibrated. Read below, on how to correct this.
Other Thoughts: Open the cover on the back of your monitor. You will see Model:226BW (R). To the right of (R) will be the letter 'A' (AOC), 'C' (CHIMEI), or
'S' (Samsung). If you have an 'A' or 'C' you need to install a calibration file to set up your monitors colors correctly. I can't put a direct link to the site that explains this process because it will be removed by Newegg, so simply type this in Gxxxle search engine without quotes.
"installing profile, 226BW"
Scroll down to where it says "Installing the profile", and follow the simple directions. You should see a great improvement upon completion. Enjoy.

But there should be a way just to adjust the brightness anyway shouldn't there? Not involving taking the back off...
