Guys Help me please,

I have the following problem :

* My CPU is on and the monitor is on.
*CPU Fan works
* The screen blanks out or it artifacts(some time the mouse is also off)

I tried re-seating the RAM but it failed to work.
Sometimes i hear a long continuous beep from mbrd.

I pressed the RAM firmly and switched the CPU on,
It worked!
--I got the display back and it worked fine. When the cpu jerks a little the screen blanks out.

What might be the cause could someone help?

Check that the ram retaining latches at each end of the ram slots are firmly locked in place. They should fully engage into the little notches on the ends the ram modules. This should happen automatically when you push each ram module down into the slot, and it stops the modules from lifting themselves out.

However, on older computers as dirt and dust builds up around the latches and slots, they sometimes don't latch properly on their own and need a little gentle persuasion by pushing the latch inwards as you push down on the ram module at that end.

I stress the word "gentle", a firm but careful push.

Take out the RAM sticks and clean the edge connectors with a pencil eraser (dust off any bits). Pop them in and out a few times to clear oxide off the sockets too. Edge connecter oxide is quite a common fault - usually not visible.
