Connexant HDA D330 v.92 modem on Dell Latitude Phone line is OK
All attempts to dial out results in "No Dial Tone" error, even using direct "AT" commands to the modem. I have re-installed driver, replaced the modem (plug-in to MB) and even replaced MB itself. Still no success.
Device Manager shows responses to "Query Modem" with no apparent problems.
I have plugged in another laptop (same model and modem) to the phone line and it works.
No success with Dell technician who replaced the MB. Can anyone help?
Did it ever work? 1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
"Dell Latitude" Go here for how to find the Service tag "number":

.....Do you also have a high speed ADSL or DSL high speed connection on the same phone line ?
If yes, you must use a ADSL or DSL blocking filter inline between the phone line and the phone line (Line IN) port on the dial-up modem.
Nope, just an old fashioned V.92 modem.
