Missing Operating System.

Specs: Windows XP, intel P4 2G
Hi, Installed new battery in mother board and a new HDD ( formatted via USB device ) now all I get is missing operating system. Insert boot diskette in drive A. I don't have anothere computer with a floppy to make a boot diskette and, I have no idea what I am doing. Can anyone help.

... ok you stuck in a new harddrive and formatted it, how did you install xp back onto the new empty formatted drive?

Formatting erases all data from the drive. How do you expect to boot off a HDD that has nothing on it? You need to install an OS.
