NTLDR is the boot loader for NT-based operating systems (NT, 2K, XP, Vista, 7). What your machine is trying to tell you is that it can't find the bootloader, either due to a defective hard drive, misconfigured BIOS setting, or possibly something as simple as a floppy/CD/DVD inadvertently left in the drive. You'll need to determine which, but if there's no disc in the CD/DVD drive, it's a distinct possibility your hard drive is going bad.

If the ntldr was bad and then you tried to fix it we need to get back to that issue.

How to fix: NTLDR is missing, press any key to restart.
Windows may not start and you may receive an "NTLDR is missing" error message if Windows is not up-to-date and there are too many files in the root folder
If too many files are copied to the root folder of a boot volume that uses the NTFS file system, you may receive the following error message the next time that you restart the computer:
NTLDR is missing Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart.
