Are you trying to edit the contents of the HOSTS file?

Which part of highlighting, pressing the Delete key and then saving the changes when you close the file, are you finding difficult to master?

It may be write-protected.

Right-click the hosts file and select "Properties". In the "Attributes" section, uncheck "Read-only".

Now you should be able to follow the normal highlight/delete/save procedure.
