Magically regained 9 GB?

So you know all those poor souls whose C drives suddenly either empty or fill up? Mine took a different route, and suddenly 9 GB more of my memory was free. Just jumped from 6 GB remaining to 15 overnight, and I know for a fact I deleted nothing in that time period. Even more bizarrely, I can't find anything missing.

It's nice to have more space again, but...who? What? When? Where? How?

Does anyone have an idea as to what my psycho computer is up to?

9 Gig of Memory? Or HDD Capacity? If HDD space, what makes you think you have 9 Gig more free than you did before?

Ehh honestly, I'm no computer expert, so I have provided visuals so I don't confuse myself or anyone else x)

The boxed number jumped from 6 GB to 15 GB. (I deleted about 1 gig's worth of pictures AFTER the number had already been altered, bringing it to 16.2 GB.) The total capacity, of course, did not change its numbers at any time.

Hi Nie

It's does happen in windows, all the deleted files in windows sometimes still remain hidden on your disk and this keeps eating up your disk space.
I also dont know why it happens but the best way to get rid of it is to timely delete the old system restore data.

Ahh that would make sense; now that I think about it, the disk space did seem to fill up without any real help from me. Thanks for the reply!
