Sounds more like you are infected with a virus / malware.

What did you delete when you did your "disk clean"?

... go to "start" run (type) sysdm.cpl [press enter]

... click "Advanced" (tab) ... click "settings" under Performance

... click "Advanced" (tab) then under virtual memory click change

... use whats recommended (custom size), set ok!

.

There are a number of things to do before setting a pagefile

run chkdsk /f to check disk integrity
run disk cleanup and defrag the drive to provide the largest free space available.

MicroSoft recommends system managed for 98% of users concerning the pagefile.

But again I don't believe the pagefile specifically is the issue.
