Hi Guys
Firstly I Can't Rewind Time So No Going Back
What A Shame, But I'll Brief You All On My
Previous Situation, Which Led To This Painful
Moment.

I Messed About With My Windows Registry
And Cache Settings Due To The
"Windows Delayed Write Failed" Error
Message, I Kept Having! So I Couldn't Access
My External USB HDD For Some
Time,

But Thats Solved Now Got A New PC
Old One Couldn't Handle A 1TB Storage, It
Had Hardware Issues K ;)

But Before The New PC, I Installed A Fresh
New OS On The Old PC And I Could Finally
Access The External USB HDDrive And
See/Read My Files, But I Still Couldn't Write
To The Disk Because Of The "Delayed Write
Failed" Error Message

But Then Silly Me Accidentally
Clicked And Moved The Mouse Which
Selected
2 Folders A Pictures Folder
(
1GB) And A Videos Folder
(
46GB) To Move Them Into A
Selected Adjacent Folder, But An Error
Message Popped-Up Stating "
Cannot
Move Or Copy Pictures And Videos
Folders" But Then A Progress Bar
Popped-Up

I Didn't Want To Move The Files, So I Panic'd
And Clicked
Cancel

But The Folders Disappeared And I Couldn't
Access Any Folders On The USB HDD My
Only Option Was To
Unplug The USB
HDD So I Unplugged The USB HDD And Re-
Plugged It In Then Went In The Adjacent
Folders And Saw The Pictures And Videos
Folders But The Were
Inaccessible
But When The Mouse
Cursor Hovered
Over A Pop Up Stated "
Empty" But
Thing Is Windows Still Showed That
(
47GB) Was Still Used By The Two
Folders

Until I Made Things Worst And Ran
Chkdsk E: /f And Chkdsk E:
/r First Chkdsk On /f Switch Took 20mins
And The /r Switch
Took Hours I Mean
Like Nearly A Day Then Ended On Stage 5
Stating It
Encountered Errors

After I Ran Chkdsk Windows Now Showed
That (
47GB) Is Lost, Gone,
Vanished I Don't Quite Know If Any
Recovery Software Is Going To pick
Up The Files Seeing As Chkdsk Took A Day
To Wipe Them Clean Of My HDD And Leave
The Empty Folders Behind (Microsoft At Its
Best Again LoL)

I Should Write A Book Dedicated To Microsoft
Called "
How I Lost (47GB's)
Of Precious Data In 4secs.

I NEED ADVICE AND ALL THE HELP I CAN
GET PEOPLE ABOUT WHAT IS BEST TO
DO

AND HOW TO RECOVER THE FILES IN ONE
PIECE, DO I NEED TO DE-CASE THE USB
HDDRIVE AND SLAVE IT TO MY PC

ALSO WHATS THE MOST EFFECTIVE
RECOVERY SOFTWARE I CAN USE.

Thank You All In Advance. =]

You may think the way you wrote your post is cool, but it's just plain annoying. And why are you blaming Microsoft for your screw ups?
