Hi there,

The issue I am having is on a Dell Dimension 5150 Desktop. The system boots just fine but after 20-30 minutes the computer just freezes up. You can not move the mouse and nothing on screen responds to the keyboard. It does not matter what program is running. Some times the computer will work for an hour but most of the time it just locks around 20 minutes into working. About every third time when the computer locks up I hear a constant beep. Keep in mind that this is while I have already been working for around 20 minutes. The screen is still there but no programs respond.

Tested new Memory and new video card. Removed all peripherals like the printer. In the Event viewer it does not seem to record the error.

I did remove a few programs like the Antivirus client and a few others to see if it was any of the start up programs but that has not resolved the issue.

Any thoughts or suggestion for me to trouble shoot down.

Thanks for the help

a possibility could be your power supply, sounds like something is heating up on your PC.
Try everest home and see what the temps are.

Check all your fans to see if they are running and blow out all the dust with compressed air.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
