Live mail crashing

July 1, 2009 at 02:33:01
Specs: Windows XP, 2Gb
I'm not sure what is causing this but Windows Live Mail regularly runs the CPU up to 100% and then I have to restart because it's impossible to do any work. It doesn't actually crash but is unuseable due to slowness.
ANy ideas what this might be?
I've read some posts about corrupt Contacts but also some other posts about various different things.

See event viewer to start but I doubt it would tell us.

See Taskman and Perfmon next.

Might have to get some tools at systernals on process and such.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Event Viewer has nothing.
No mindump was created because although I could get the task manager up and could see it was trying to create a minidump, the CPU was at 100% and getting nowhere so I had to turn off and on.
TaskMan - isn't that just taskmanager - what help will that give?
I'll download perfmon and have a look
