I have an eight year old IBM Pentium 4 computer loaded with Windows XP. I am trying to get even older Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 recording software in conjunction with an Echo Gina soundboard to run on it, but to no avail. Would it be possible to load this computer with Windows 95, which is the operating system the hardware and software was designed for? Is it likely then to cooperate with the hardware and software?
Have you tried Win95 compatibility mode? The other option is to run Win95 in a virtual machine.
Is it not running because you don't have XP drivers for the card or is the card set up OK but the software won't run?
