laptop to TV SCard Connection

January 10, 2009 at 05:04:20
Specs: Windows XP, Centrino
I have a Dell D630 and an old Sony Trinton (KV-M2100K). On the Sony I have only a SCARD female connection and antenna port.

I have a VGA-SCARD cable (computer to tv) and audio cable going from the computer to the SCARD input (yellow and red).

I hooked it all up, put TV/Video on Video but I don't get anything on the TV. No sound or video.

Can you help me?

What is a VGA-SCARD? Do you mean SCART?

If it is SCART and you have an VGA-SCART converter then the Yellow connector is composite video and left and right Audio to the Red and White connectors.

If you are connecting the VGA from the Laptop to the SCART converter then you do not need to use the Yellow connector, just the Red and White for Audio.

Yes, you are correct it is a SCART. and I mis-typed I meant White when I typed Yellow. With this clarified/corrected, can anyone assist because I still don't see anything on my TV.
