You can retrieve it from your current installation with Magical Jellybean.

If you don't have a current installation, what can I say? I lost a $100 bill; what can I do about it?

Check around for a broken computer, get it from there

I'm not quite sure how a broken computer is going to help with a lost Office key. Could you explain?

If your Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student installation is already installed, it's Product Key it's presently using can be found, if you use certain programs that can do that.

E.g. the freeware Keyfinder, made by Magical Jellybean
http://www.magicaljellybean.com/key...

It also
- finds the Product Key for already installed Windows versions, and other already installed Microsoft software products, on the Windows installation you have loaded.

- has a feature - Load Hive - than can retrieve Microsoft Product Keys from a Windows installation that isn't presently loading properly. See the link to Keyfinder FAQs at the bottom of the above web page.

Magical Jellybean also has a program you must pay for that finds other Product Keys and similar.
...

If your Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student installation is NOT already installed...

If you have the plastic enclosure (box) the Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student software came in, the Product Key for it is INSIDE the box on a stuck on sticker, where it can't be seen from outside the plastic enclosure.
