I have discovered I have 2 Microsoft Windows.NET Framework 2.0 Pack 2 downloaded twice on my computer. Should I delete one? and how can I do it. I am a fair novice at this part of my computer.

How have you discovered this? What are the filenames, and where are they located?

they are located in my add remove area. I have Microsoft Windows.NET 2, 3 3.5. I am sure they are updates but do I have to have all of them? They sure take up a lot of space.

thanks

Since net framework versions are not backwards compatible I would let them alone. Depending on what version is being used by certain programs, removing it would not allow that program to run anymore. If you need more hard drive space, install a second drive or get an external drive.

Yes, don't delete any updates. It's not as if they need much space.

thank you for your help. The initial files take up 184,000 mb and 174 mb respectively and that is why I wondered.
