Is IE8 messing up or is it my settings

September 2, 2011 at 11:50:43
Specs: Windows XP
While I'm on a web page, doesn't matter which one, IE will open my homepage in a different browser window. If I minimize it, I get the web page back I was on. I have looked everywhere on how to fix this problem but could not find anything. I tried reinstalling IE8 but that did not help. Anyone have any ideas why it does this?

No idea, but you could try resetting browser to default settings to see if it helps.

Thanks, I'll try that and see what happens. I think I tried everything else.

It is in compatibility view so that's not it. What is strange is if I have my browser on a different page other then my home page it doesn't do that. Only my homepage does. HMMMM

None of these answers helped me really. I am still having loads of problems with IE8. Either I'll switch my homepage or might just try Firefox to see if it's any better. Tried some of the other browsers but they kept crashing. Maybe it's time for a newer computer or for Microsoft to stop putting out rotten browsers.
