Specs: Windows XP
Have a network of computers but a hard drive went bad in one of them. Replaced hard drive and now cant get into bios to install software back onto computer. Keep getting Media test failure and exiting intel boot agent. then tells me no bootable device insert boot disk and press any key. I do this but nothing is happening because it wants network and I want into bios to disable network for now. no screen to tell me what key to press for bios bypass--any suggestions??

The new drive is not bootable so of course this is going to happen.

You do not want to disable network.

You DO need to get into the bios to detect the drive, boot from xp cd to do the install.

Have you tried googling your model pc and bios key?
Did you try the delete, esc or f1 keys which are the common bios access keys?

I did find out the bios key is F2. Do I need to put the CD drive as the priority drive for boot and you said I should be using the XP boot disk-is that correct? Thanks for the response.
