installing windows xp

Specs: Windows XP
hi.. I am trying to install windows xp on my laptop which is currently running on windows vista, but it does not install because of some compatibility issues. My laptop had winods xp before i installed vista. Can anyone help??

Contact the vendor. If the Vendor has drivers that are compatible with XP then go ahead and install it. If not leave it on the current installation.

you have to do a fresh reformat & install. You cannot do it within vista.

how do i uninstall vista??? the xp installation disc does not do it.. shuts my laptop down every time i try

go into bios on bootup, make sure you have the CDRom booting first

i have.. i managed to uninstall vista now.. but my laptop shuts down every time when i try to install xp..what can be the reason ans solution for that??
