|Installing Windows On Evo N400c|

I have a compaq evo n400c, and I am trying to install windows xp home on my computer.
1. My laptop stalled during konverting to NTFS, after rebbot I couldn't access the c: drive. Not able to boot!
2. I took out the harddrive, and formatted in a nother laptop.
3. I plugged the harddisk back in my laptop, to install windows xp home, from another partion d: in dos.
4. copying files for installation and restarting.
This is where I goes wrong, because I get a messages saying. "NTLDR missing, restart computer", I do that and get again the same message ofcourse, because I can only boot from C:!!
When I boot the harddisk back in the computer where I formatted the harddisk, then i ask wheather if I want to continue the installation!! I can only boot from my c:, WHAT CAN I DO?? I can only boot from C:!!
please help me I am desparate!!
Use windows XP Original, it's very work
