I have been trying to send Excel files and word files through my e-mail. It has always worked in the past to attach the files, now when I attatch them they come up with the.ink extension and no one can open them. How do I fix this?

The LNK-files, e.g. listed in the favorites, are only links to the location of the real Excel-file.
In this case, you have to go to the folder, where the real Excel file is located and choose this file as an attachment for your e-mail.

Kelly's fix worked! It didnt work in normal mode, so I switched to safe mode with command prompt and typed in "regedit -s "C:\path of the file\linkrestore.reg" and it worked.
