Good Day all Might somebody be able to help me with a .WIM image problem, what I have done is create a WIM image of a clean XP Pro SP3 install, renamed the image to Install.wim and used it to overwrite the VISTA install.wim on the Vista DVD; everything works well when deploying the image from a DVD to a computer/laptop with an IDE drive; but if I deploy the image to a computer/laptop with a sata drive it just BSOD the computer/laptop, so what I need to know is how to inject sata drivers for both Intel & AMD in to my .WIM image.
Kind Regards

You either need to create a new image with the SATA/RAID drivers slipstreamed into it, or temporarily change the SATA setting in the BIOS to IDE mode, install XP using your current image, install the SATA/RAID driver, then change the BIOS setting back to SATA again.
You can use nliteos to slipstream the SATA controller drivers into the WinXP files. You can add many items to customize the final package. Get nliteos from the link below. You can get the SATA drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's site.
Good Day It’s ok now, I have resolved the issue, I added all sata drivers to the XP i386 folder and ran Sysprep driver scanner, I have now recreated my Install.wim image and integrated back in to my ex-vista DVD
Thanks very much for all your help.
