Incorrect Windows XP desktop display

Specs: Windows XP, Dell / 2GB
My pc is totally displayed start up menu is upper
right side ,when i am clicking start menu , menus
are displayed horizontally..

You can move the taskbar to any of the 4 sides of the screen. To move it back, first click an empty part of the bar with the right mouse button & make sure 'lock the taskbar' ISN'T ticked, then click & hold the left mouse button on an empty part and drag it to the bottom of the screen.

i know Sir,but isn't my problem. My pc desktop is in normal
position but the desktop will be shown in vertical position.
total desktop position shown in vertical position how this
desktop will be changed?

Right click on any empty spot on your desktop and choose properties. Look through all display properties for something that may be set 'funny'. I no longer use XP. though I do not remember any settings that will turn your desktop 'upright', but different hardware sometimes offer different settings.
