Translation from French of the above Post:

drive E does not work and a USB key is not accepted.

I want to disconnect but it is not possible because it is necessary to insert a disk into drive E and it does not work. I wonder if this is not a scam and I'm afraid that the system does not stop after one year. How do I do?

Would have been a good idea to provide an English version as well... then everyone would know.

Regards.

@Ewen -- rough translation (not literal):

"I don't understand the question very well. We need more info (for instance, what type CD? internal? external? etc.). What does a USB "key" have to do with this?

At first glance, I'd say you just have to power off, remove the non-functioning peripheral, and power back up..."

I did not provide a solution, so I did not think to "share" my "insights" with everyone.

I'm guessing that LEA GOUVERNEUR has a computer (e.g. some Acer laptop models have this) that has a security feature that the user can enable that requires having to use a USB key - a USB flash drive that thas specific data on it, that came with the computer - to access the laptop. When nothing else that data can be stored on is plugged into USB ports or memory card slots, that USB key would be assigned E by Windows.
Either...
- the data on the USB key is damaged - it's not being recognized properly or is not being recognized at all

- or - the USB key requires that it is plugged in when no other external device that data can be stored on is plugged in, and he or she has something else plugged in while booting.
