Specs: Windows XP
I have a second outlook.pst file, on another drive, that I wish to access from Outlook Express - none of the import options seem to apply....am I being very stupid?

You can't directly import a pst file into Outlook Express. That program only allows you to import from another existing email program. (Look at the Import List.) If you have Outlook configured on the computer, then you run the Import and select Outlook.

OK - that was very useful. Thank you. Did that....but next problem...imported it into Outlook, and nothing shows up. The file was over 1Mb, so it should have had dozens of things to come across, and I cannot see a button to sort it!

Do you see a second "Personal Folders" in your Outlook window? What shows in Data Files?

Or Archived folders at the bottom.

Yes, thanks. I am struggling (never having used Outlook before!) but I do have two personal folders. One of them has got one file, sent to me a year ago. The other has no in-box files, but has a few sent - again abot a year ago. So something is there! I have checked Options-Mail setup -data files, and a 1.4Mb pst file is sitting there - it just is not readable in any way that I can fathom!
It really is great to know that someone out there knows what can be done! There are no archives that I can see
