Nice one "pcs365_3" who actually managed to deduce a question from the two statements posted and came up with a viable solution.

What's the time?

While you are trying to solve this problem you might consider installing Firefox browser. It is a quite separate program so can be either kept or uninstalled later as you wish. It will at least give you temporary internet access and confirm that this is definitely an IE7 issue.

Go to IE7 > Tools > Internet Options > Delete button and delete your Temporary Internet Files and History (just in case something corrupt is stuck in there).

If all else fails install IE8. Doing this can often sort out IE7 problems. There were some teething troubles with IE8 at first but it seems to be fine on most machines nowadays (including my XP and Vista).

Are you therefore sticking with IE8 now or have you reason to revert back to IE7?

when you revert back to IE7, just reset Internet explorer, that will remove all add-ons and reset it back to the way it should work fine. I refuse to use IE8 on XP machines because it is so slow.

Hi friends,

For most of the problems that occur in 'Internet Explorer', after altering your browser settings, following steps would be fine resolution. Since I am used to such kind of issues, I have made fine research on it.

1.) Launch Internet Explorer.

2.) Go to 'Advanced tab' in 'Internet Options' Pop up window.

3.) Down below 'Settings' clcik on "Restore advanced settings"

4.) Now under "Recent Internet Explorer settings" click "Reset..."

5.) Restart IE.

Thank you :)

I've never had a problem with ie8, as long as I install, first thing after a fresh install of xp, even on some older machines (a dell 2400, with 512, yesterday). On a machine that is running xp for a number of years, I leave well enough alone. I will install firefox to provide another option & leave ie alone.
