Specs: Windows xp
Please, switching from IDE to SATA, is there a pub I can read to easily do this? It's in a Windows XP. I don't know other details cause that's all my Uncle told me. He said the SATA didn't come with a driver.

You would clone the ide to the sata then do a repair install of the sata installation by adding the sata xp driver.

It wasn't sata that didn't come with a driver, it was xp that didn't come with a sata driver since sata came out long after the release of xp

OMG, thank you very much Jedi Master Wanderer. I'm currently enrolled in a program at New Horizons Computer Learning Center on Guam, but it's basically book and look, and not repair and stare. (I just came up with that after about 3 minutes of thinking.) The first ending was touch and took. I'm in a program called Certified Computer Networking Professional, or some such, and need all the help I can get. I've only been to 10 days of classes(Comptia A+ and Network +) Here on Guam, the resources can sometimes be limited. Are you in this area? Thank you.

I'm in Oregon so we have the Pacific in common :-) It will take awhile to absorb all of the IT stuff. Just learn the material well and the material will lead you to the answers.
