IDE drive won't show up in windows

Specs: Windows xp pro, 5.2ghz 2gig ram
I got a knew SATA HD and installed xp on it and now I
want info off the IDE HD I pluged it in it's set to slave
and shows up in the bios but not in windows

There is no desktop CPU that runs at 5.2GHz. Do you have a 2.6GHz dual core? Do NOT add the core speeds together...your CPU only runs at 2.6GHz.

As for the HDD, see if it's listed in disk management. Go to Start > Run, type in diskmgmt.msc & click OK. Is it there? Rick click & enable it.
