I have been getting many viruses and malware on my computer, was running Microsoft malware and it was updating my computer, said it needed to shut down, I was finishing my document and it shut down, i tried to save it, but cant find it, where could it have gone?
Is there a way to recover it?

Microsoft essentials is crap. Get behind a router and install avast! which is free.

If you had never saved the file recovery is very doubtful. You can look in your temp folder for a tmp file created around the same time and see if Word can recover it.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.

I would format the drive and reinstall. I personally don't trust a PC that has "been getting many viruses and malware".
Unless you know someone skilled at removing them.
