I unplugged my compaq and since then it just blinks.

Compaq / Sr1610nx

Specs: Windows XP
I unplugged my compaq that is 6+ years to put a desk under it and since then the light on the front (and the one next to the power supply) blink. I had this happen before when I took it out of storage (it was stored through the winter, no heat in storage) and it took a day for it to "warm up" and function properly. I've waited two days and it hasn't stopped blinking. I swear, all I did was unplug it and move it a foot, then moved it back.

Thank you in advanced for your help,
Robyn

Even moving a computer from one side of the desk to the other can dislodge something, especially if it is a particularly large case that is not very well built and allows some flexing when it is lifted.

Take the side off and reseat everything. Make sure all the plugs are fully home, especially the hard disk which the blinking light relates too. Remove the memory modules and reinsert them making sure they are properly seated in their sockets and try again.

That makes sense, it does have a history with loose wires. When I first bought it as a referb, it was half price because the DVR wasn't working. Turned out to be a loose wire to it! XD

That was a no go. I'll try again later tonight to see if I missed something. More ideas would be helpful in case it doesn't work again.
